Cardamom Coffee Martini

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 ounces vodka

1 1/2 ounces Arabic coffee, or espresso

1/2 ounce cardamom syrup*

1 ounce baileys cream and or

1 ounce of milk or cream

Garnish: cinnamon and cardamom pod

 

PREPARATION 

Add vodka, espresso and cardamom syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.

Pour mixer from shaker into the glass of your choice. (Optional, pour over one large ice cube for visual appeal especially if making a cold brew mocktail)

Foam up milk and/ or the baileys cream. Gently pour into the glass over the coffee layer. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a cardamom pod.

*Cardamom Syrup

Bring 1 cup water and 1/4 cup full cardamom pods to a boil.

Stir in 1 cup sugar until fully dissolved.

Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

Strain and discard the cardamom.

Can be stored, sealed and refrigerated, for up to 2 weeks (Mason jar does the trick).
