INGREDIENTS
1 block feta cheese (10.5 ounces)
2 eggs
1/2 cup of flour, enough to coat the feta
1/4 -1/2 cup sesame seeds
Preferred olive oil for light frying (I use EVOO)
2 tbsps of honey
PREP
Crack eggs into a mixing bowl and whisk.
In another bowl add the flour
Cut block of Feta in half or preferred sizes
Spread sesame seeds on parchment
Roll each piece of feta into the eggs, then into the flour, again into the eggs and then in the sesame seeds, so all sides are covered
Heat a thin layer of oil in a frying pan, just enough to cover the bottom of the pan
Fry the feta until lightly brown on both sides.
Use a slotted spoon to flip the fried feta, so it’s cooked on all sides.
When done, place on paper towel to absorb any extra oil.
Plate up and drizzle with honey and enjoy while warm
SERVE
As an appie with warm pita, naan, pita chips, crackers or apples. Can even be a great accent to a lush salad.
