Levantine Toasted Pine Nuts

INGREDIENTS 

1/4 cup raw pinenuts 

1-2 TBSP salted butter

PREP
Pine nuts can burn easily (trust me from experience) so it’s important to toast them correctly.

Add pinenuts to a small buttered pot in a single layer. 

Turn the heat to medium-low and cook them, stirring until golden-brown (3 to 5 minutes).

Once they’re toasted, remove the pine nuts from the pot or off burner so they don’t continue cooking.
